SUSTAINABLE CITY
Europan 9 was the starting point of a partnership called sustainablecity.nl. The team develops strategies to deal with local effects of global problems such as shrinking cities. It is their vision that lively, attractive and sustainable cities can be created by an integral approach of economical, social, environmental and spatial issues.

Rik Marten
s (NL-1977) University Eindhoven (2002), worked at Jo Janssen Architects, Marx & Steketee Architects, was guest critic at the University Siegen and participated in competitions and researches in various collaborations, is currently working at Humble Architects Maastricht and teaching at the Academy of Building Arts Maastricht.

Theo Reitsema (NL-1977) University Eindhoven (cum laude 2004), worked at Henket & Partners architects, won the second prize at the Archiprix 2005, started this own office Reitsema & partners architects Rijssen and won several design competitions, is guest lecturer/critic at the Academy of Building Arts Arnhem and at the Dia Bauhaus, Institute of Architecture, Dessau.

Bas Romgens (NL-1977) University Eindhoven (2003). Since then Bas works at VenhoevenCS architects. He worked at Itten+Brechbühl  (CH) to coordinate the partnership P.arc CS. At the moment Bas works as architect on several urban and architectural projects. Bas is freelance teacher and lecturer on health care concepts, urbanism and architecture.

Dennis Weerink (NL-1982) University Eindhoven (2006), worked at IAA architects and is currently working at Reitsema & partners architects in Rijssen.
